Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire an Internist on a full-time basis. Treating cats and dogs, this established 24-hour emergency and specialty referral hospital offers an outstanding opportunity to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team delivering advanced specialty care. This position is open to board-certified or residency-trained Internists seeking to work alongside experienced specialists in a modern referral environment supported by advanced technology and a diverse caseload.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of Internal Medicine responsibilities within a busy specialty referral hospital. You will diagnose and manage a broad range of complex medical conditions affecting multiple body systems, working closely with referring veterinarians and collaborating with specialists across multiple disciplines to provide comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities include performing advanced diagnostic evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, interpreting advanced imaging and laboratory findings, utilizing minimally invasive diagnostic procedures where appropriate, and providing ongoing management for hospitalized and referred patients. You will have access to advanced diagnostic and therapeutic resources while contributing to a collaborative clinical environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes. This opportunity is suited to a board-certified or residency-trained Internist looking to practice high-quality specialty medicine within a well-supported referral setting.
Practice Details
The hospital provides comprehensive 24-hour emergency care alongside specialty services in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Neurology, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency and Critical Care, Cardiology, Dermatology, Rehabilitation, and Sports Medicine, allowing clinicians to manage a diverse and complex referral caseload. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment including, but not limited to, CT, MRI, ultrasound, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, an in-house laboratory, and rehabilitation facilities featuring an underwater treadmill. Internists benefit from access to advanced diagnostic capabilities including ultrasound, CT, MRI, comprehensive endoscopic procedures, minimally invasive biopsy techniques, advanced laboratory testing, and a fully equipped intensive care unit supporting around-the-clock patient management. The hospital operates Monday from 7:30 AM to midnight, Tuesday through Friday 24 hours a day, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 AM to midnight.

The Internal Medicine service includes board-certified specialists, practice-limited internists, experienced registered veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and dedicated support staff, all working together to provide exceptional patient care. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
