Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Internist to join their 24/7 emergency and referral center. The practice serves the South Bay area and provides specialized care across multiple disciplines including internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, cardiology, and integrative medicine.
Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time availability. The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Internist will provide internal medicine services within a multi-specialty environment and will be supported by advanced technology and a highly trained team. This position is open to board-certified or residency-trained internists.
Practice Details
The hospital operates a state-of-the-art facility featuring comprehensive diagnostic technology including CT scan, endoscopy, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and digital radiology. Additional equipment includes a 64-slice CT, fluoroscopy unit, arthroscopy tower, Force Triad, three Snyder O2 units, multiparameter monitoring devices, EKG/defibrillator, TEG unit, and in-house blood gas and electrolyte machines. Services offered include cardiology, diagnostic imaging, emergency care, integrative medicine, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and surgery. The practice provides access to specialty teams and advanced medical therapies to support high-quality emergency and specialty care.
Team
The hospital has 12 DVMs and 34 support staff within a highly trained and knowledgeable environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
