Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a beautiful new 24-hour emergency hospital, currently seeking a board certified or residency trained Veterinary Internist. The hospital treats dogs, cats, and exotic pets and is open to both full-time and part-time candidates.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of responsibilities expected of an Internist, including performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as endoscopy, ultrasound-guided procedures, and complex case management. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian, with doctor hours open to discussion to support flexibility.
Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It offers a full scope of ER services, including endoscopy, antivenin/antivenom antibody therapy, and oxygen therapy. The facility includes a surgical suite and a full-service Veterinary Reference Laboratory that provides STAT laboratory testing. The hospital is equipped with an endoscope, ultrasound, digital X-ray, and Doppler, among other equipment not limited to this. The clinic supports a diverse and advanced caseload within a modern, well-equipped environment.
Team
The team consists of 6 DVMs supported by highly trained and experienced support staff with a high staff-to-doctor ratio, fostering a collaborative and well-supported working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
