Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Veterinary Internist. This is an AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor, 24-hour emergency, specialty, and general practice facility seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Internist to join its advanced care team. The hospital provides comprehensive care across emergency, specialty, and primary services and is looking for an experienced clinician to deliver high-level internal medicine services within a collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This position offers full-time or part-time availability. The hospital operates as a 24-hour emergency and specialty facility, providing continuous care. The role offers flexibility in scheduling within a round-the-clock hospital setting.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This opportunity is open to experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Internists. The Veterinary Internist will manage complex internal medicine cases and perform advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures including abdominocentesis, arthrocentesis, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, tracheal washing, endoscopic foreign body removal, esophagoscopy, gastroduodenoscopy, rhinoscopy, supplemental feeding tube placement and management, and thoracocentesis. The role involves collaborating with emergency clinicians, surgeons, and other specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans, while delivering exceptional client communication and patient care.

Practice Details
This is an AAHA Accredited practice operating from a 14,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility. The hospital is equipped with CT, digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, and a rehabilitation center featuring an underwater treadmill. As a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital, it provides access to a broad network of specialists and advanced medical resources. The clinical environment supports world-class medicine, advanced diagnostics, and multidisciplinary collaboration across emergency, surgery, and specialty services.

Team
The hospital has 16 DVMs and a fantastic tenured support team, with more than 17 doctors overall including a board-certified Internist, a Surgeon, and ER veterinarians, supported by an 80-person team. The culture is collaborative, specialist-driven, and focused on delivering advanced veterinary care while supporting professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
