Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital seeking two Veterinary Internists to join their dynamic team. The hospital offers a busy and satisfying caseload within a multi-specialty environment, serving an educated and pet-centric community in the San Francisco Bay Area. The recently remodeled facility features state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical capabilities, and the role offers the opportunity to develop your ideal department while working alongside a talented and positive team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Scheduling will be thoughtfully discussed to support a strong work–life balance while aligning with the needs of a busy and growing specialty and emergency hospital.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role focuses on providing high-quality internal medicine care within a well-established specialty and emergency hospital. Clinical responsibilities include working with a busy and diverse caseload and collaborating closely with specialists across surgery, oncology, radiology, ophthalmology, and exotic animal care. Support is provided by an experienced 24-hour emergency department and a cohesive nursing team. The role includes opportunities to contribute to department development and to support learning opportunities for veterinary students and externs.

Practice Details
The hospital features three surgical suites, a dedicated imaging room, a GE Optima CT540 scanner, a full clinical lab, a digital radiology unit, and 13 exam rooms across a two-building campus. It offers 24/7 emergency services along with surgery, ophthalmology, radiology, oncology, and exotic animal services. The culture is positive and supportive, reflected by a high staff retention rate. The hospital has a long history in the community, having been founded in 1979 and evolving from an after-hours clinic into a full 24/7 emergency and multi-specialty center.

Team
The hospital has 19 DVMs, including nine different specialties. The environment is collaborative and supported by talented doctors, experienced nurses, and strong management.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
