Introduction
Our client is a well-established, 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital currently seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Internist to join its collaborative, multidisciplinary team. The hospital treats both canine and feline patients and offers comprehensive specialty and emergency care supported by a team of over 19 veterinarians, including specialists across Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Emergency & Critical Care, Radiology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Anesthesia.

Working Hours / Rota
This position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while remaining closed on Sundays. With its 24/7 emergency and specialty services, the schedule can accommodate a range of preferences based on candidate availability and service needs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Internist will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a wide array of internal medicine cases, working closely with referring veterinarians and collaborating with specialists across departments. Clinical duties include advanced diagnostics, ongoing management of complex cases, and contributing to a team-oriented environment that values teaching and professional development. The position is open to residency-trained or board-certified Internists.

Practice Details
The hospital occupies 26,000 square feet and is undergoing a 16,000-square-foot expansion to increase its capabilities. It is AAHA-accredited and supports a thriving rotating internship program. Advanced equipment and facilities include a 1.5T MRI, three ultrasound units, a 16-slice CT scanner, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, endoscopy, laser therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and a Halcyon linear accelerator. The hospital offers an extensive range of services such as internal medicine, oncology, diagnostic imaging, surgery, radiation therapy, preventive care, and emergency services.

Team
The hospital’s team includes over 19 DVMs and a strong support staff. The environment is highly collaborative and mentorship-driven, fostering a culture of continuous learning and team-based care to ensure the highest standards of veterinary medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
