Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a Veterinary Internist to join their team, offering either full-time or part-time opportunities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Internist will play an integral role in delivering advanced internal medicine services, working closely with general practice veterinarians to manage complex cases. Responsibilities include providing consultations, performing diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound and endoscopy, and developing treatment plans for outpatient internal medicine cases. You will collaborate with referring veterinarians to ensure continuity of care, contribute to clinical discussions, and support a culture of mentorship and learning within the hospital. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian and offers a schedule with no on-call, overnight, or emergency responsibilities.

Practice Details
This hospital offers a collaborative environment where internal medicine is embedded within a high-quality general practice setting. The facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools including ultrasound and endoscopy equipment, supporting a sophisticated level of care. Services offered include wellness care, surgery, intensive care, senior care, imaging, dental care, puppy and kitten care, laser therapy, and internal medicine. The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and is closed on Sunday. The practice emphasizes a strong work-life balance alongside high clinical standards.

Team
The team consists of 10 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
