A leading 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah is seeking an Associate Emergency Veterinarian (Hospitalist) to join its collaborative team. Working within a modern referral centre alongside emergency clinicians and board-certified specialists, you’ll play a key role in the ongoing management of hospitalized patients while delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Hospitalist, you’ll oversee the care of hospitalized patients, manage same-day referral transfers, and support the emergency and surgical teams with procedures, recoveries, medical records, and client communication. You’ll work closely with specialists across multiple disciplines, provide regular updates to referring veterinarians and pet owners, contribute to workflow improvements, and assist in the training and development of clinical team members. The role is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in a collaborative referral setting and enjoys coordinating complex patient care.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a purpose-built 24,000-square-foot facility equipped with advanced technology to support exceptional emergency and specialty care. Alongside a busy 24/7 emergency service, the hospital offers specialist services in cardiology, critical care, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, and surgery. Advanced equipment includes a Varian TrueBeam® linear accelerator for radiation oncology, allowing clinicians to deliver a comprehensive range of diagnostic and treatment options while working alongside experienced specialists and highly skilled support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
