Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Veterinary Dermatologist to join their team. Caring for dogs and cats, the hospital provides advanced dermatology services and is looking for an experienced specialist to deliver high-quality care for patients with a wide range of skin, ear, coat, and nail conditions.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Dermatologist, you will examine patients, diagnose dermatologic conditions, and develop individualised treatment plans tailored to each case. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic procedures such as cytology, skin scrapings, biopsies, allergy testing, otoscopy, and specialized procedures including intradermal allergy testing, skin biopsies, and ear flushes. You will manage chronic dermatological conditions, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed using medications, topical therapies, diets, and immunotherapy. The role also involves educating pet owners on disease management and treatment expectations, communicating with referring veterinarians, providing detailed case summaries and recommendations, maintaining comprehensive medical records, and collaborating with other veterinary specialists on complex or systemic disease cases. Participation in continuing education and staying current with developments in veterinary dermatology is expected. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a dedicated range of dermatology services including dermatology consultations, allergy management, dermatohistopathology, diagnosis and management of ear diseases, and otoscopy. The practice is supported by a Fear Free Certified Professional approach, promoting a positive experience for patients during examination and treatment. The hospital fosters a collaborative environment where specialists work together to provide comprehensive care for complex cases.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
