A leading 24/7 specialty and emergency hospital in South Salt Lake, Utah is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Dermatologist to join its expanding multidisciplinary team. With approximately 30 veterinarians on staff, including emergency clinicians and a broad range of specialists, this hospital provides a highly collaborative environment designed to support advanced referral medicine. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time specialty position within a hospital that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Dermatology scheduling is structured in coordination with specialty and emergency teams to ensure continuity of care, strong referral support, and a sustainable work routine within a busy referral center.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Dermatologist will provide advanced diagnostic and therapeutic dermatologic care for referral and in-house patients, working closely with departments including Internal Medicine, Oncology, Critical Care, and Emergency Medicine. Responsibilities include managing complex dermatologic cases, performing advanced diagnostics and procedures, consulting with referring veterinarians, and maintaining clear, comprehensive medical records. The role requires strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to high clinical standards. Active participation in strengthening referral relationships and contributing to the continued growth of specialty services is expected. Candidates must be board-certified or residency-trained and eligible for licensure in Utah.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a modern 24,000-square-foot facility and provides comprehensive specialty and emergency services, including Cardiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Surgery, and Urgent Care. Advanced imaging, diagnostic, and treatment capabilities support the management of complex cases across disciplines. The infrastructure is designed to promote seamless collaboration between specialties, ensuring patients receive coordinated, high-level care within one integrated facility.

Team
You will join a team of approximately 30 veterinarians, including board-certified specialists and experienced emergency clinicians, supported by skilled technicians and client service professionals. The culture emphasizes teamwork, mutual respect, and shared case management to optimize outcomes. Interdepartmental collaboration is central to daily operations, allowing specialists to practice at the top of their training while contributing to a cohesive referral network. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
