Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring a Veterinary Dermatologist to join their specialty team working with cats and dogs. This opportunity is available on either a full-time or part-time basis within a state-of-the-art specialty center serving the greater Long Island area. The hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about providing high-quality dermatology care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of board-certified specialists and experienced veterinary professionals.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Dermatologist will provide advanced dermatology care for companion animals while collaborating closely with specialists across multiple disciplines. The role involves diagnosing and managing complex dermatological conditions, developing treatment plans, and delivering compassionate patient and client care within a specialty-focused environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced specialists and veterinary professionals in a collaborative setting designed to support exceptional patient outcomes and continued professional growth. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian seeking a specialty environment without after-hours or on-call responsibilities.

Practice Details
This specialty center is a stand-alone, state-of-the-art facility that is expanding into a larger footprint in 2026. Expansion plans include an additional 8,000 square feet of treatment space, another operating room, six additional exam rooms, a dedicated CT room, and upgrades to the in-house laboratory. The hospital collaborates across specialties including Behavioral Medicine, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Services 24/7, Internal Medicine, Physical Rehabilitation, Reproductive Medicine, and Surgery. The facility utilizes advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques to provide comprehensive, gold-standard veterinary care. A satellite on-campus location also provides 24/7 inpatient and emergency care support. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.

The hospital is supported by 6 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The collaborative environment includes board-certified specialists, experienced veterinarians, technicians, specialists, and rehabilitation professionals who are dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care and exception client service.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
