Our client is a high-volume, multi-specialty referral and emergency hospital seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Dermatologist to join their advanced specialty team in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24/7, providing continuous emergency and critical care coverage. Dermatology appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday, allowing for a predictable daytime schedule. The team is open to discussing full-time or part-time arrangements, with flexibility to tailor scheduling preferences around clinical interests and lifestyle needs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Dermatologist, you will manage a high-volume dermatology caseload within a multi-specialty referral setting, delivering advanced diagnostic and therapeutic care for complex dermatologic conditions. Your responsibilities will include medical dermatology consultations, allergy management, otic disease treatment, and collaboration with other specialty and emergency teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. This position is suited to an experienced DVM who is board-certified or residency-trained, and who enjoys practicing in a fast-paced, academically rich environment with access to extensive diagnostic and specialty resources.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and fully equipped with an in-house laboratory, advanced imaging including digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, as well as endoscopy and minimally invasive procedures. On-site pathology and cytology support, comprehensive anesthesia services, and dedicated emergency and ICU teams available 24/7 ensure seamless continuity of care. The dermatology service benefits from close collaboration with a large and diverse specialty team, enabling multidisciplinary case management and excellent clinical outcomes.

Team
You will join a large specialty team of 31 veterinarians, supported by a fantastic and highly skilled support staff. The culture is collaborative, respectful, and mentorship-driven, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, clinical excellence, and shared learning across specialties.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
