Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Dermatologist to join its expanding specialty team. The practice is a multi-specialty referral and emergency hospital providing advanced veterinary care to pets and is hiring an experienced dermatologist to support the growth of its dermatology department at its Buzzards Bay location.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a hospital that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Specific doctor hours are not outlined, and the role sits within a specialty and referral environment that supports continuous patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Dermatologist will provide advanced diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of dermatologic conditions. Clinical responsibilities include managing complex dermatology cases, collaborating closely with other specialists and emergency clinicians, and supporting the education of interns, residents, and veterinary staff. The role involves working alongside an established dermatology team and contributing to a culture centered on compassionate, high-quality specialty care. This position is suited to an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained veterinary dermatologist.

Practice Details
The hospital is a busy, well-established multi-specialty referral and emergency center serving Cape Cod and southeastern Massachusetts, with locations in Buzzards Bay and Dennis. Facilities support a wide range of specialty services and are equipped to deliver advanced diagnostic and treatment options. Services offered include 24/7 emergency care, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, zoo and exotics medicine, blood bank services, and end-of-life care. Dermatology-specific services include intradermal and blood allergy testing, immunotherapy, food allergy work-ups, advanced ear diagnostics and treatments, skin biopsies, CO₂ laser surgery, skin scrapings, local mass removals without general anesthesia, fungal and bacterial cultures, and CT imaging. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration, professional growth, and excellent patient outcomes.

Team
The team includes thirty-eight DVMs supported by a large and skilled support staff. The environment is highly collaborative, with specialists across multiple disciplines working together to provide comprehensive referral-level care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
