Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire a full-time Veterinary Dentist. This thriving hybrid general practice, specialty, and emergency hospital has been serving the Greater Philadelphia community for more than 75 years and operates as a 24/7, AAHA-accredited facility. The hospital combines a long-standing community presence with advanced technology and a highly collaborative clinical environment, offering an excellent opportunity for a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Dentist to join an established multidisciplinary team.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of Veterinary Dentist responsibilities, with a particular focus on advanced dentistry and oral surgery within a multi-specialty setting. You’ll diagnose and treat complex oral and maxillofacial conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and perform advanced dental and oral surgical procedures while contributing to improved patient comfort and quality of life. You’ll work closely with specialty, emergency, and general practice veterinarians to manage complex cases collaboratively and ensure the best possible clinical outcomes. The position is suited to a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Dentist who is looking to advance veterinary dentistry within a supportive, forward-thinking hospital.
Practice Details
The hospital combines general practice, emergency, and specialty medicine within a comprehensive 24/7 clinical environment. Its specialty offering includes areas such as Neurology, Oncology, Surgery, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Rehabilitation, Acupuncture, Radiology, Dermatology, Behavioral Medicine, and Dentistry, alongside primary care and emergency services. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment including, but not limited to, high-speed dental units, digital dental radiography, a 64-slice CT scanner, 1 Tesla MRI, endoscopy, advanced anesthesia monitoring, and integrated electronic medical records to support efficient case management and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The hospital is AAHA accredited and provides emergency care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Team
You’ll join a multidisciplinary clinical team made up of general practitioners, emergency veterinarians, and specialists working across a broad range of disciplines. The culture is built around mutual respect, clinical excellence, and collaboration, with specialty, emergency, and primary care doctors working closely together on complex cases. The wider team includes experienced veterinary technicians and support professionals who help maintain efficient workflows and high standards of patient care, creating an environment where the Veterinary Dentist can play an integral role in both patient outcomes and the continued growth of the hospital.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
