Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned hospital providing both General Practice and Emergency services and is currently hiring a Criticalist. The hospital treats small animal patients, and while an interest in exotics, avian, or pocket pets is welcome, it is not required.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours due to providing both General Practice and Emergency services. Scheduling is very flexible to accommodate the needs of the doctor. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Criticalist will be responsible for the care and management of critical care patients. This role is suited to experienced veterinarians only, with preference given to those who are residency trained or board certified.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with an ultrasound machine, cold laser, digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays, laparoscopy, a CT machine, in-house laboratories, and electronic medical records.

Team
The hospital team includes six DVMs and a well-tenured support staff, maintaining at least a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, supporting a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
