A 24/7 emergency and multi-specialty animal hospital in Sunset, Utah is seeking a second Veterinary Criticalist, or residency-trained clinician, to join its team of twelve veterinarians. This advanced hospital provides round-the-clock emergency and specialty care in a modern, 15,000-square-foot facility designed to support collaboration and innovation. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a 24-hour hospital that provides emergency and specialty care every day of the year. Schedules are designed to balance clinical responsibilities and personal time, supported by a dedicated ICU nursing team that ensures continuous patient monitoring. The structure allows for flexible shift arrangements and the support needed to maintain excellence in care without compromising work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will provide advanced medical and surgical management of critical care patients while supporting the emergency and specialty teams. Responsibilities include overseeing ICU operations, performing diagnostics and treatments, collaborating with specialists in surgery, radiology, and cardiology, and maintaining clear communication with clients and referring veterinarians. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork, precision, and compassionate patient care.

Practice Details
The hospital features advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including on-site CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, digital radiology, point-of-care ultrasound, high-flow oxygen, in-house laboratory equipment, and telemetry. The facility’s design and technology support efficient, evidence-based medicine and seamless collaboration across departments. In partnership with a sister hospital 35 minutes away, the team provides access to additional advanced services such as MRI, plasma apheresis, and radiation therapy. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
