Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a multi-specialty and emergency hospital seeking a 2nd full-time Criticalist to join their team. This hospital treats cats and dogs and is looking for an experienced clinician to support its growing critical care service within a large, collaborative specialty environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24/7. The full-time Criticalist schedule is open to discussion, with final working hours to be determined with the candidate. Weekend coverage and after-hours expectations will also be discussed directly, offering flexibility as needed.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role focuses on providing high-level critical care within a multi-specialty setting. Clinical responsibilities align with the hospital’s established services, and the position is open to experienced veterinarians only. The Criticalist will contribute to the management of complex cases and support the hospital’s continued growth and quality of care.
Practice Details
This recently remodeled, 18,000-sqft specialty hospital offers a comprehensive multi-specialty and emergency service. In addition to critical care, the team provides emergency care, internal medicine, critical care, diagnostic imaging, ICU, medical oncology, neurology, surgery, and radiation oncology. The hospital is fully equipped with digital radiography, a 16-slice CT with 3D reconstruction capabilities, a Halcyon Linear Accelerator, ultrasound, MRI, and a full in-house laboratory. They also offer fluoroscopy and laparoscopy and maintain scope towers for urinary, gastrointestinal, nasal, and orthopedic cases. The hospital has an amazing atmosphere supported by an established referral base and is a growing facility that prioritizes superior pet care while maintaining a family feel.

The hospital is supported by a huge team of DVMs across multiple specialties and a highly trained team of support staff, creating a collaborative and well-resourced environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
