Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing 24/7 emergency and multi-specialty veterinary care and is seeking a Veterinary Criticalist to join their team in a brand-new, advanced facility. This opportunity is ideal for a specialist looking to work in a high-level clinical environment focused on emergency and critical care.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a 24/7 operating hospital, requiring coverage across emergency, critical care, and after-hours shifts. The role is suited to a fast-paced setting with continuous patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will be responsible for delivering advanced emergency and critical care, managing complex and life-threatening cases in a high-volume environment. You will work closely with the emergency medicine team to stabilize patients, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing critical care. The role is open to both experienced criticalists and those who have completed an Emergency and Critical Care residency, with a strong emphasis on practicing the highest quality medicine in a collaborative setting.

This is a brand-new, state-of-the-art 24/7 emergency and multi-specialty hospital designed to support advanced diagnostics and treatment. The hospital is part of a large, veterinary-led organization that prioritizes medical excellence, continuous improvement, and strong clinical support. The environment is highly collaborative, with access to extensive resources and infrastructure to manage a high caseload within emergency and specialty services.

Team
You will be joining a large emergency medicine team within a collaborative and supportive structure, contributing to the care of a high patient volume in a multidisciplinary setting.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
