Our client is a progressive veterinary hospital seeking a dedicated Veterinary Criticalist to join their team, delivering advanced emergency and critical care to small animals. This is an opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a fully equipped, state-of-the-art facility. The hospital is committed to providing gold-standard intensive care, utilizing advanced monitoring, diagnostics, and therapeutic interventions to manage complex, life-threatening cases while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day. The position offers flexibility, with specific doctor hours open to discussion. This is a full-time role.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will lead the management of emergency and critically ill patients, including complex medical and post-operative cases requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support. Responsibilities include overseeing ICU protocols, performing advanced diagnostics and procedures, managing mechanical ventilation and transfusion medicine cases, and collaborating closely with surgical and internal medicine teams to deliver comprehensive care. The role also involves mentoring junior clinicians and nursing staff, contributing to clinical research initiatives, and supporting the continued development of the hospital’s critical care service. The position is open to experienced, board-certified or residency-trained professionals.

Practice Details
This full-service hospital offers the opportunity to work in a newly designed 42,000 sq ft facility set to open in late 2025. The practice features a fully equipped Intensive Care Unit with advanced monitoring systems, mechanical ventilation, in-house laboratory diagnostics, and access to advanced imaging and surgical services. The facility promotes innovation and collaboration, encouraging clinicians to help shape and expand the critical care service. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
