Introduction
Our client is a specialty and emergency hospital that is hiring a Veterinary Medical Criticalist on either a full-time or part-time basis. Caring exclusively for Cats and Dogs, this advanced referral center provides 24/7 emergency and specialty care within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary environment. This opportunity is ideal for a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Medical Criticalist seeking to work alongside a large team of specialists while managing complex emergency and critical care cases supported by advanced technology and extensive clinical resources.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Medical Criticalist will be responsible for the full scope of Veterinary Medical Criticalist responsibilities, managing critically ill and emergent patients while collaborating closely with specialists across multiple disciplines to ensure the highest standard of patient care. This role offers exposure to a diverse and challenging referral caseload, requiring advanced clinical decision-making, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to evidence-based medicine. Working within a specialty and emergency environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering advanced critical care while contributing to a culture of clinical excellence and collaboration. This opportunity is suited to board-certified or residency-trained candidates seeking to further develop their expertise within a progressive referral setting. Practice Details
This 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital provides the full scope of Emergency and Critical Care services within a modern referral environment designed to support advanced veterinary medicine. In addition to its emergency and critical care capabilities, the hospital and its sister locations offer access to specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Radiology, and Neurology, creating a truly multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The modern and bright 14,000-square-foot facility features 10 exam rooms and 3 surgical suites, allowing for efficient management of both emergency and referral cases. The hospital is equipped with advanced technology including, but not limited to, a 1.5 Tesla MRI, fluoroscopy, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic instrumentation, endoscopy equipment, multiple ultrasound units, computed tomography with automatic injector capability, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. This extensive diagnostic and therapeutic infrastructure enables clinicians to manage highly complex medical and surgical cases while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. The combination of specialist collaboration, advanced equipment, and a robust emergency service creates an exceptional environment for practicing state-of-the-art critical care medicine.

The hospital consists of 16 DVMs supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
