Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Criticalist on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency and specialty care for cats, dogs, avian species, and exotic animals and is looking for a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist to join its Critical Care team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering the highest standard of emergency medicine and critical care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will manage complex emergency and critical care cases as part of a collaborative Emergency Medicine and Critical Care team treating more than 100,000 patients annually. Clinical responsibilities include 24/7 ICU monitoring, acute organ failure and sepsis management, advanced fluid therapy, CPR and post-arrest care, dialysis and apheresis, trauma care, high-flow nasal oxygen therapy, hemodialysis and blood purification therapies, mechanical ventilation, post-surgical recovery with tailored pain management, respiratory support, stabilization and shock resuscitation, toxicity and poison ingestion management, and transfusions. This position is suited to board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalists.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is an AAHA-accredited emergency and multi-specialty hospital. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped to support advanced emergency and critical care while fostering a collaborative approach to patient management. The practice places a strong emphasis on work-life balance through weekend hospitalist coverage for inpatients and limited on-call responsibilities. The hospital promotes professional development, clinical excellence, and long-term career growth within a supportive specialist environment.

Team
You will join a collaborative team of 25 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The multidisciplinary team includes experienced specialists, certified technicians, assistants, and client service representatives who work together to provide exceptional patient care while fostering collaboration, trust, and professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
