Introduction
Our client is a leading multi-specialty and emergency hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Criticalist to join their collaborative team. This role is ideal for a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Criticalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork, advanced medicine, and a supportive workplace culture.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a 24/7 hospital setting. The hospital is open around the clock every day of the week, offering flexibility and support for emergency and critical care scheduling.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will be responsible for overseeing critical cases, delivering intensive care to patients in the ICU, and collaborating with other specialists and emergency clinicians to ensure comprehensive treatment. The position includes case management, supervision of technical staff, and contribution to clinical protocols. This role is open to experienced clinicians with at least five years in a clinical, emergency, or specialty setting.

Practice Details
The hospital spans 18,000 sq. ft. and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a CT scanner, digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and an I-131 treatment ward. The hospital serves as a referral center for over 2,000 veterinarians across five states and maintains a high standard of patient care. The work environment promotes collaboration, continuous learning, and a healthy work-life balance.

The hospital is staffed with a skilled group of veterinary professionals who work together in a collegial, mentoring-focused environment. The team includes multiple DVMs with specialty training and a strong support staff committed to delivering exceptional care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
