Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned AAHA-accredited Emergency & Specialty Hospital seeking a Veterinary Criticalist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hospital equipped with all the tools and technology needed to provide top-quality care, while being supported by a collaborative, family-oriented environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offers both full-time and part-time schedules, providing flexibility to suit your needs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will be responsible for all duties associated with critical care medicine. You will work closely with a team of specialists and emergency clinicians, contributing to the hospital’s mission of providing exceptional, specialized care to patients.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced tools and technology including digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, a brand-new ultrasound machine, cold laser therapy, full in-house labs, CT scanner, endoscopy, and electronic medical records. This well-resourced facility allows its team to deliver high-quality, efficient, and comprehensive patient care while minimizing administrative barriers.

Team
The hospital is made up of over 16 doctors of veterinary medicine, including eight board-certified specialists in cardiology, surgery, oncology, anesthesia, emergency/critical care, and internal medicine. The support team includes highly experienced veterinary nurses, assistants, and client service representatives. Nurses and assistants provide compassionate care, assisting with treatments and ensuring patients are comfortable, while client service representatives guide clients through the admission process and answer questions to put minds at ease. The team works in a supportive, collaborative, and family-like environment where every member is valued.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
