The hospital provides care for dogs, cats, and exotics and is dedicated to delivering innovative medicine through a collaborative, team-focused approach. With a strong emergency and specialty network available around the clock, this opportunity is ideal for a residency-trained or board-certified Veterinary Criticalist looking to work within a highly advanced clinical environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and management of critically ill or injured patients requiring intensive and emergency care. Clinical responsibilities include providing advanced medical management for complex emergency and critical care cases, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, performing emergency procedures such as mechanical ventilation, transfusion therapy, and advanced life support, and overseeing the ongoing monitoring of hospitalized ICU patients.
The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, emergency clinicians, and support staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care. Additional responsibilities include communicating with pet owners regarding treatment options and prognosis, maintaining accurate medical records, contributing to clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives, and supporting the education and mentorship of veterinary colleagues and nursing staff. This position requires strong clinical decision-making abilities, leadership within a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. The role is open to residency-trained or board-certified Veterinary Criticalists.

Practice Details
This 24/7 specialty hospital offers an extensive range of advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, supporting a diverse and challenging caseload. The facility is equipped with an I-131 therapy ward, CT scanner, ultrasound, Olympus endoscopy, fluoroscopy, high-definition laparoscopy, high-definition male and female cystoscopy, interventional radiology, and a diode laser. The hospital is also home to a renowned Bone and Joint Center focused on advanced orthopedics.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
