Job Description
Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in Concord, New Hampshire, providing advanced care for cats and dogs. They are seeking an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist to join their 24-hour hospital on a full-time basis. The role offers the opportunity to practice within an advanced multidisciplinary environment supported by extensive diagnostic, monitoring, and critical care capabilities.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will provide emergency and critical care to patients requiring advanced monitoring and treatment. Clinical capabilities include cardiac output monitoring, continuous ECG monitoring and telemetry, direct blood pressure monitoring, mechanical ventilation, nasal and transtracheal oxygen therapy, pulse oximetry, end-tidal capnography, transfusion therapy, and pain management. The Criticalist will work collaboratively alongside clinicians across internal medicine, surgery, neurology, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, radiology, and clinical pathology. This position is specifically for an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained veterinarian.
Practice Details
The AAHA-accredited hospital is a 14,000-square-foot, 24-hour emergency and specialty facility equipped with continuous ECG monitoring, a full laboratory, critical care ventilator, ultrasound, CT, MRI, digital radiography, full endoscopic capabilities, and laparoscopy. The hospital provides emergency and critical care alongside anesthesiology, pain management, clinical pathology, diagnostic imaging, radiology, internal medicine, and surgery, with access to a wider network of veterinary specialists. The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The hospital has seven DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment emphasizes collaboration, teaching, teamwork, continued learning, and trusted client relationships, with clinicians working alongside specialists across multiple disciplines to provide advanced patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
