Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital seeking a Board Certified or Residency Trained Criticalist to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Located in Chattanooga, TN, the hospital offers specialty services in diagnostic imaging, emergency, internal medicine, interventional radiology, rehabilitation, and surgery within a collaborative referral environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Criticalist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing critically ill and emergency patients while developing comprehensive treatment plans and delivering advanced intensive care. The role includes performing emergency procedures when required, interpreting diagnostic results, collaborating closely with specialists and emergency clinicians, communicating treatment plans and patient progress with clients, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. The hospital is open to discussing scheduling preferences with the successful candidate.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is AAHA accredited. The practice is based within a 10,000-square-foot facility featuring six exam rooms and two surgery suites. Advanced facilities include CT, digital fluoroscopy, rigid and flexible endoscopy, an underwater treadmill, K-Laser therapy, and a hyperbaric chamber, supporting the delivery of advanced emergency and specialty care.

Team
The team includes a Specialty Medical Director, a wide range of specialists, and experienced emergency doctors, all supported by a fantastic and experienced team of support staff who work collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
