Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a Veterinary Criticalist to join their team, offering full-time or part-time opportunities working with dogs and cats in a 24-hour emergency and specialty setting.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will deliver advanced critical care within a busy emergency and referral environment, managing complex and high-acuity cases. Responsibilities include overseeing intensive care patients, providing emergency interventions, and collaborating closely with specialists across surgery, internal medicine, and diagnostic imaging. You will utilize advanced monitoring and treatment modalities such as mechanical ventilation, transfusion therapy, cardiac and blood pressure monitoring, and hemodialysis where required. The role also involves performing and interpreting diagnostic procedures, contributing to case management strategies, and supporting a collaborative, teaching-focused environment. This position is suited to an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained veterinarian with a passion for critical care and clinical excellence.

Practice Details
This is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital operating from a 10,000 square foot facility with 6 exam rooms and two surgery suites. The hospital is AAHA accredited and offers a wide range of specialty services including surgery, radiology, internal medicine, and physical therapy. The facility is equipped with advanced technology such as CT, digital fluoroscopy, rigid and flexible endoscopy, and an underwater treadmill, K laser, and hyperbaric chamber for therapy. Services span emergency and critical care, diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, and advanced surgical procedures, supporting a diverse and complex caseload. The hospital operates continuously, providing round-the-clock care.

Team
The team consists of 11 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a highly collaborative, specialist-driven environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
