Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Veterinary Criticalist to join their growing team. The hospital is part of a veterinary-owned and veterinarian-led organization and provides advanced specialty care supported by experienced clinical leadership, state-of-the-art technology, and a collaborative culture grounded in medical excellence. The Critical Care service plays a central role in stabilizing and managing severely ill or injured patients within a multispecialty environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24/7.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will manage unstable and acutely decompensating pets, providing advanced critical care within a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Responsibilities include leading the stabilization of patients presenting with shock, trauma, respiratory compromise, cardiac abnormalities, toxin ingestion, and severe metabolic disturbances. The role involves 24/7 ICU case management, working closely with emergency clinicians and specialists in cardiology, neurology and neurosurgery, and internal medicine to ensure immediate and comprehensive care.

Practice Details
Equipment includes advanced technology that supports critical care delivery within state-of-the-art facilities. The hospital provides 24/7 monitoring and ICU care, acute organ failure and sepsis management, advanced fluid therapy, CPR and post-arrest care, dialysis and apheresis, expert trauma care, high flow nasal oxygen therapy, hemodialysis and blood purification, mechanical ventilation, post-surgical recovery with individually tailored pain control, respiratory support, stabilization and shock resuscitation, toxicity and poison ingestion management, and transfusions. Facilities include a dedicated intensive care unit operating around the clock and access to multiple specialties. Services offered include comprehensive critical care and intensive monitoring for severely ill or unstable patients.

Team
The Veterinary Criticalist will join a collaborative team of doctors, technicians, and client service professionals who work seamlessly to provide outstanding care and communication.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
