Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Criticalist on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital provides advanced emergency and specialty care for cats and dogs and is looking for a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist to join its collaborative multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice advanced emergency and critical care in a state-of-the-art specialty environment supported by experienced specialists and cutting-edge facilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will provide advanced emergency and critical care for companion animals, managing a wide variety of life-threatening and complex medical cases in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities include delivering intensive care, stabilising critically ill patients, collaborating with specialists across multiple disciplines, and developing comprehensive treatment plans for emergency and ICU patients. Clinical responsibilities include 24/7 monitoring and ICU care, acute organ failure and sepsis management, advanced fluid therapy, CPR and post-arrest care, dialysis and apheresis, trauma management, high-flow nasal oxygen therapy, hemodialysis and blood purification, mechanical ventilation, post-surgical recovery with tailored pain management, respiratory support, shock resuscitation, toxicity and poison ingestion management, and transfusion medicine. This opportunity is suited to board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalists.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provides emergency care alongside specialty services in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Surgery. The practice has recently moved into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility to support continued growth and expanded specialty services. Advanced facilities support comprehensive emergency and critical care, and the hospital utilises modern practice management software to streamline workflows and medical records. The hospital also offers an established Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program to support ongoing clinical development.

Team
You will join a collaborative team of 21 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The multidisciplinary environment includes experienced specialists, emergency clinicians, certified technicians, assistants, and client service representatives who work together to deliver exceptional patient care while fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and clinical excellence.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
