Our client is a hospital providing care for dogs, cats, zoological, and exotic patients and is seeking a full-time Veterinary Criticalist to join their team. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will provide advanced emergency and critical care services while collaborating closely with specialists, emergency clinicians, and skilled nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Clinical responsibilities include emergency trauma treatment, shock stabilization, mechanical ventilation, blood transfusion management, pain management, critical care monitoring, and the treatment of complications associated with chronic illnesses including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, kidney disease, toxicities, and foreign body ingestion. The role also involves participating in multidisciplinary case management, supporting educational initiatives, and contributing to the continued advancement of critical care services within the hospital. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to ensure effective collaboration with colleagues, clients, and referring veterinarians. This position is intended for experienced veterinary criticalists.

The facility is supported by more than 20 specialists across multiple specialties and offers a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care. Equipment and services include mechanical ventilation, blood transfusion capabilities, digital radiography, ultrasound, advanced diagnostic imaging, and a dedicated blood bank. Specialty services include surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, end-of-life care, and zoological and exotics medicine. The hospital places a strong emphasis on education and professional development through established technician training programs, continuing education opportunities, ECC and rotating internships, and residency programs. Emergency services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
