Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring a Veterinary Criticalist to join their team working with cats and dogs. This opportunity is available on either a full-time or part-time basis within a 24/7 emergency, specialty, and general practice hospital focused on delivering advanced critical and emergency care alongside specialty and primary veterinary services. This role is suited to experienced board-certified or residency-trained Criticalists seeking a collaborative and well-supported environment with access to advanced technology, specialty services, and a highly experienced support team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will provide advanced emergency and critical care services for companion animals, managing complex and urgent medical cases while collaborating closely with specialty and emergency teams. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality diagnostics, treatment planning, hospitalization management, intensive care, and advanced medical therapies using state-of-the-art diagnostic and monitoring technology. The role includes working alongside specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology to provide comprehensive patient care and continuity of treatment. Candidates should be experienced and comfortable working within a fast-paced specialty hospital environment while also supporting collaboration, communication, and education within the clinical team.

Practice Details
This 24/7 emergency, specialty, and general practice hospital is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiology, digital dental radiology, CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, advanced monitoring equipment, ventilators, oxygen cages, EKG, in-house laboratory services, and hands-free radiology capabilities. The facility includes 9 exam rooms and 3 surgical suites designed to support a broad and advanced caseload. Services offered include advanced care, CT scans, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, endoscopy, OFA X-rays, PennHip evaluations, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, preventive care, wellness care, dentistry, hospitalization, intensive care, oxygen and transfusion therapy, pain management, radiology, general surgery, and routine surgical procedures. The hospital emphasizes compassionate, high-quality patient care supported by advanced diagnostic technology and current medical therapies. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturdays closed, and rotating Sunday schedules.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
