Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Criticalist on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital provides comprehensive emergency, specialty, and general practice care for cats and dogs and is looking for a board-certified or residency-trained Criticalist to join its collaborative clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice advanced medicine in a well-equipped referral environment alongside experienced specialists.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will manage complex emergency and critical care cases while collaborating with specialists across multiple disciplines to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Working within a 24/7 specialty and emergency hospital, the role involves providing advanced critical care, contributing to multidisciplinary case management, and delivering high standards of client communication. The successful candidate will work closely with specialists in internal medicine, surgery, and oncology while supporting a collaborative and team-focused culture. This position is suited to an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist.

Practice Details
The hospital operates as a 24/7 emergency, specialty, and general practice facility. The practice is equipped with nine exam rooms, three surgical suites, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, an in-house laboratory, advanced monitoring equipment, a ventilator, state-of-the-art oxygen cages, and hands-free radiology. Services include advanced care, CT scans, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, digital radiology, EKG, endoscopy, OFA X-rays, PennHIP evaluations, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, primary care, allergy management, anaesthesia, dental care, dentistry, DNA breed testing, ear checks, euthanasia services, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health exams, hospitalisation, an in-house pharmacy, intensive care, isolation facilities, oxygen and transfusion therapy, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries, sevoflurane anaesthesia, and spay and neuter procedures. The hospital also provides access to a wider network of specialists, supporting collaboration on complex cases.

Team
You will join a team of 3 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The hospital is known for its stable, long-term staff and collaborative environment, where specialists and support professionals work together to provide outstanding patient care while encouraging continuous professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
