Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Criticalist to join its specialty and emergency team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Treating dogs and cats, this opportunity is ideal for an experienced Veterinary Criticalist who enjoys working in a collaborative referral environment alongside multiple specialty services while delivering exceptional critical care.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Criticalist, you will provide advanced emergency and critical care for critically ill patients while collaborating closely with specialists in emergency medicine, internal medicine, dermatology, oncology, rehabilitation, neurology, ophthalmology, and surgery. You will play a key role in delivering life-saving interventions and managing complex cases within a multidisciplinary setting. Flexible scheduling is available to support a healthy work-life balance. This role is suited to experienced Veterinary Criticalists.
Practice Details
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Emergency and critical care specialists are available across both hospital locations, providing advanced care for critically ill patients. The practice is committed to collaborative, team-based medicine and fosters a supportive culture focused on respect, balance, and professional wellbeing. Veterinary emergency and critical care specialists work alongside a broad range of specialty services to provide comprehensive care for complex cases.
Team
The team includes 2 specialty DVMs, ER DVMs, and a great tenured support team. The collaborative environment encourages close communication between specialists and emergency clinicians to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
