Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Criticalist on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital provides advanced emergency and specialty care for cats and dogs and is looking for a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist to join its growing Critical Care team. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Criticalist will provide advanced emergency and intensive care for critically ill companion animals, working collaboratively with emergency clinicians and multiple specialty services. Clinical responsibilities include managing acute organ failure and sepsis, advanced fluid therapy, CPR and post-arrest care, dialysis and apheresis, trauma care, high-flow nasal oxygen therapy, hemodialysis and blood purification, mechanical ventilation, post-surgical recovery with tailored pain management, respiratory support, shock stabilisation and resuscitation, toxicity and poison ingestion management, and blood transfusions. This position is suited to a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist.

Practice Details
The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services alongside specialty services in Anesthesiology and Analgesia, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Oncology, Rehabilitation and Acupuncture, and Surgery. The hospital is a VECCS Level II Emergency Facility and has recently expanded its facilities to support continued growth. Equipment and facilities include MRI, CT, an on-site board-certified radiologist, and a Hospitalist, providing comprehensive support for advanced diagnostics and critical patient care. The practice is designed to support high-quality emergency and specialty medicine through advanced technology, collaborative case management, and continuous investment in hospital facilities.

Team
You will join a team of 26 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The collaborative environment includes experienced doctors, certified technicians, assistants, and client service representatives who work together to deliver exceptional patient care while fostering strong communication, professional development, and trusted relationships with clients and referring veterinarians.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
