Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital providing advanced veterinary care for dogs and cats in Sacramento, California. They are seeking an experienced Veterinary Cardiologist to join the hospital. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and provides a multidisciplinary environment supported by advanced technology and facilities.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Cardiologist will provide specialist cardiology care, including echocardiography, electrocardiography (ECG), and Holter monitoring, while collaborating with the hospital’s wider multidisciplinary team. The position is specifically for an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Cardiologist.
Practice Details
The hospital is a 27,000-square-foot facility equipped with a 64-slice CT with automatic injector, 1.5T MRI, complete endoscopic, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic instrumentation, multiple ultrasound systems, a C-Arm, and two radiology suites. The complete in-house laboratory includes Abaxis CBC, PT/PTT and chemistry machines, Heska EPOC, I-STAT, and a colloid osmometer, with an Antech laboratory located within a 10-minute drive. Specialties include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Neurology, Radiology, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Anesthesiology, and Emergency & Critical Care. The hospital is AAHA accredited and affiliated with the Feline Veterinary Medical Association, and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
