Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Cardiologist to join a specialty and emergency environment that values its employees and is dedicated to maintaining a positive and supportive culture. The hospital provides referral and emergency services across much of Oregon and operates within a modern 17,000 sq. ft facility that continues to grow. This role is ideal for an experienced, collaborative, and self-motivated clinician who enjoys community outreach and contributing to an outstanding hospital culture.
Working Hours / Rota
Emergency and specialty services operate Monday through Sunday from 7:00 am to midnight. Urgent care services operate Sunday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The position may be full-time or part-time.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing cardiology care within a fully equipped and staffed ER and ICU, allowing for high-standard case management. Responsibilities include collaborating with specialists across disciplines, participating in daily case rounds, engaging in in-house education, and supporting an environment focused on excellent medicine and patient care. This position is open to experienced, boarded, or residency-trained veterinarians.

The hospital features a well-equipped, state-of-the-art 17,000 sq. ft facility with future expansion plans. Current specialties include surgery, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, radiology, critical care, outpatient ultrasound, and urgent care, supported by seven-day imaging services. The practice culture emphasizes continuous learning, professional development, collaboration, and maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Team
The hospital has 29 DVMs and a great support team, creating a highly collaborative and education-focused environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
