Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital providing advanced referral-level veterinary care and is currently hiring a full-time Veterinary Cardiologist. The hospital supports a broad range of specialty services and is seeking an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained cardiologist to join its established referral team.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a hospital that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Specific cardiology rota details, weekend requirements, and on-call expectations are to be discussed with the practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Cardiologist will focus on advanced cardiac care within a specialty and emergency setting. Clinical responsibilities include cardiac consultations, echocardiography, ECG interpretation, Holter monitoring, management of congenital and acquired cardiac disease, interventional cardiology procedures, and peri-operative cardiac case management. The role involves collaboration with emergency and specialty teams and contributing to a high standard of patient care. This position is intended for an experienced veterinarian who is board-certified or residency-trained in cardiology.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility spanning 20,000 square feet and is equipped for 24-hour emergency and specialty care. Advanced diagnostics and equipment include CT, ultrasound, advanced anesthetic monitoring, comprehensive peri-operative monitoring, and dedicated cardiology equipment including echocardiography and ECG capabilities, with additional imaging and oncology services in development. Specialty services supported include emergency and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, neurology, oncology, radiology, dermatology, and ophthalmology. The clinical culture emphasizes collaboration, education, and world-class medicine.

Team
The team consists of 10 DVMs supported by a large, skilled, and dedicated support staff. The working environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with strong technical support and a focus on teaching, mentorship, and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
