Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a multi-specialty and emergency hospital based in Memphis, Tennessee, seeking a full-time Veterinary Cardiologist to join their established team. This role is ideal for a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Cardiologist who is passionate about advanced medicine and thrives in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position in a 24/7 hospital setting. The hospital operates around the clock every day of the week, offering flexibility for scheduling within a supportive multi-specialty team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Cardiologist will focus on diagnosing and managing complex cardiovascular conditions in companion animals, working closely with internal medicine specialists, criticalists, and emergency clinicians to ensure comprehensive care. This position is suited for an experienced clinician who values collegiality and is committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes.

Practice Details
The hospital features an 18,000 sq. ft. advanced medical facility equipped with on-site CT, digital radiology, endoscopy, ultrasound, and an I-131 treatment ward. The practice is a referral center for over 2,000 veterinarians across five states and is known for its collaborative culture and high standards of care.

Team
The current team includes 12 DVMs supported by a highly skilled and dedicated support staff. The hospital fosters a respectful, team-oriented environment that emphasizes mutual support and continuous learning.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
