Our client is a specialty referral veterinary practice in Jacksonville, Florida, seeking an experienced Veterinary Cardiologist to join its team on either a full-time or part-time basis. The practice provides advanced and compassionate care for dogs and cats with complex medical needs, serving patients across Northeast Florida and South Georgia. The hospital is dedicated to remaining at the forefront of veterinary advancements while providing multidisciplinary specialist care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Cardiologist will provide specialist care as part of a multidisciplinary referral environment, working collaboratively with other veterinarians to support patients with complex medical needs. The role involves contributing to personalized patient care supported by advanced diagnostics, specialist expertise, and collaborative treatment planning. The practice is committed to collaborative research, veterinary education, and knowledge-sharing, providing an environment focused on continued professional development. Flexible scheduling is available, including three- to five-day working weeks. This position is for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The specialty referral practice provides Surgery, Internal Medicine, and 24-hour Emergency Services, with additional services including orthopedic surgery, CrCL surgery, TPLO surgery, advanced imaging, laser therapy, and regenerative medicine. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including Sound Digital Radiology units, a Storz Endoscopy suite, Samsung ultrasound units, a DRE Volumax Oxygen System, and ventilator oxygen assist therapy. The practice uses advanced diagnostics and collaborative treatment planning to support patient health, mobility, recovery, and long-term quality of life. The hospital’s listed hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

The hospital has eight DVMs alongside a great tenured support team. Veterinarians work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with access to a wider peer network of experts, supporting knowledge-sharing, veterinary education, professional development, and high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
