Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Hollywood, Florida hiring a Veterinary Cardiologist to join their 24/7 emergency, specialty, and general practice team. The hospital provides advanced, world-class medical care supported by cutting-edge technology and a highly skilled, collaborative group of specialists.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering flexibility for either full-time or part-time scheduling within a specialty-focused environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing specialist cardiology services within a multi-specialty hospital. Clinical responsibilities include diagnosing and managing cardiac conditions, performing advanced cardiac imaging and procedures, and collaborating with specialists in dermatology, internal medicine, oncology, surgery, and emergency and critical care. This position is suited to experienced cardiologists committed to delivering world-class medicine and contributing to a teaching-focused, team-oriented environment.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with three ultrasound units, video endoscopy, thoracoscopy, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, ventilators, and comprehensive anesthetic and critical care monitoring devices. Additional equipment includes a 64-slice CT scanner, two digital X-ray units, ligasure vessel sealing equipment, an in-house laboratory, underwater and land treadmills, therapeutic laser, EMS, TENS, and complete blood products. Facilities support an extensive range of advanced and primary care services including diagnostic imaging, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dermatology, internal medicine, oxygen and transfusion therapy, pain management, hospitalization, intensive care, hospice care, dental care, preventive care, microchipping, parasite control, vaccinations, and wellness exams. The hospital also provides access to a broad network of specialists.
Team
The team currently includes 23 DVMs supported by a great support staff in a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
