Job Description
Located in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, this new specialty hospital is committed to breaking the mold of traditional veterinary medicine. Founded on core values of Respect, Integrity, Compassion, and Humility, with a guiding principle of “Do The Right Thing,” this hospital prioritizes quality of life and work-life balance for its team members.
Emphasizing a horizontal team structure, technical and support staff are highly valued and integral to the hospital’s success. A shared bonus structure reflects this appreciation and grows alongside the hospital. The collaborative and collegial environment fosters growth and learning at all levels, supporting both personal and professional development.
This hospital has a unique opportunity for a visionary Cardiologist to build and lead the specialty service of their dreams. You will have the support of existing specialties including surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, dentistry, and soon critical care. The hospital is transitioning a fully operational 24-hour ER service into a new facility in Gig Harbor, Washington, creating the only specialty and emergency hospital on the Olympic Peninsula.
The recently completed 21,000 square foot facility features a dedicated ICU with long-term mechanical ventilation, a full in-house lab, 64-slice CT, MRI, ultrasound, in-house blood bank and component therapy, I-131 therapy, minimally invasive surgery, flexible and rigid endoscopy, fluoroscopy, and more. As a Cardiologist, you will have your own state-of-the-art cardiology suite equipped with an echocardiography machine of your choice for ease of treatment and patient comfort. You will have the autonomy to order and build your instrumentation and tool set according to your preferences and needs.
