Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a state-of-the-art specialty and emergency hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Cardiologist to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in building and launching a cardiology department within a collaborative, expert-led environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is a 24-hour emergency and specialty facility, with scheduling flexibility available to suit either a full-time or part-time cardiologist. Shifts can be designed to ensure work-life balance, and there are no requirements for overnight coverage unless desired.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The incoming Cardiologist will have the opportunity to establish and grow a cardiology service within a dynamic, multi-specialty hospital. Responsibilities will include performing advanced diagnostics and interventional cardiology procedures, developing treatment protocols, and working closely with clients to provide outstanding care. The role will also involve mentoring and collaborating with a highly skilled team of veterinary technicians and support staff. This position is open to board-certified or residency-trained veterinarians in cardiology.
Practice Details
The hospital spans 6,180 square feet and offers advanced diagnostics, including an on-site CT scanner, digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy. Fully equipped surgical suites, Snyder oxygen cages, transfusion services, chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and 24/7 patient monitoring are available. Additional highlights include a dedicated isolation ward and the Cure for Cats Thyroid Treatment Center. The hospital culture is team-driven, highly collaborative, and centered on compassionate care for patients and their families.

The successful candidate will join a strong, multi-specialty team that includes board-certified veterinarians in internal medicine, surgery, and oncology, supported by a talented group of Licensed Veterinary Technicians and a dedicated support staff. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
