Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital in Bohemia, NY. They are hiring a Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologist to join their specialty and emergency team. There is also a leadership opportunity for a dedicated candidate.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital provides emergency services and is open 24/7/365. This is a full-time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role focuses on providing advanced cardiology services, including electrocardiography, echocardiography, radiographic evaluation, and blood pressure measurements. The position involves working closely with the existing Cardiologist and collaborating with other specialists while building referral relationships in the community. This opportunity is open to experienced candidates only.

Practice Details
The hospital offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment capabilities including diagnostic ultrasound, in-house labs, MRI, CT scan, fluoroscopy, and a fully equipped rehabilitation department. Services include advanced specialty medicine and emergency care with strong infrastructure to support patient treatment.

Team
The team includes board-certified Surgeons, Internists, a Neurologist, a Dermatologist, and a highly skilled Emergency and Rehabilitation team. There are 9 Emergency DVMs and a team of veterinary specialists, supported by tenured staff, fostering a collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
