Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a specialty and emergency hospital seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Anesthesiologist to join their Columbus, Ohio team. The hospital treats small animals and provides advanced specialty and emergency services, including anesthesia, cardiology, critical care, dermatology, internal medicine, medical oncology, neurology and neurosurgery, ophthalmology, rehabilitation, radiation oncology, radiology, surgery, and urgent care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24/7, offering continuous emergency and specialty care. Specific doctor hours are not provided, but the role is full-time with scheduling aligned to the needs of anesthesia and perioperative care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Anesthesiologist will manage anesthesia and analgesia for a diverse caseload, collaborating closely with specialists and emergency clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include perioperative planning, anesthetic monitoring, pain management, and supporting critical and surgical cases. The position is open to experienced anesthesiologists who are board-certified or residency-trained.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
