Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts, providing advanced specialty, emergency, and general veterinary care for dogs and cats. They are seeking an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Anesthesiologist to join the hospital. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offers the opportunity to work within a large, multidisciplinary specialty environment supported by advanced medicine, technology, and facilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Anesthesiologist will work as part of the hospital’s advanced care team, collaborating with specialists across a broad range of disciplines. The role includes opportunities to take an active part in clinical and didactic teaching for professional students and interns, provide continuing education to the local veterinary community, and participate in clinically relevant research projects. The position is specifically for an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Anesthesiologist.

Practice Details
The hospital is a 28,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art, 24-hour emergency, specialty, and general practice facility that is AAHA accredited and VECCS certified. Advanced capabilities and services include CT, MRI, digital radiology, ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, endoscopy, intensive care, internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, laser surgery, oxygen and transfusion therapy, physical rehabilitation, dentistry and dental X-rays, alongside a full scope of primary and preventive care. The hospital also operates strong rotating and specialty internship programs and provides access to a wider network of veterinary specialists. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM–9:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Team
The hospital has a great tenured support team and a staff of more than 30 veterinarians, including specialists in internal medicine, surgery, emergency and critical care, neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology, oncology, radiology, dermatology, avian and exotic medicine, behavior, and rehabilitation and integrative medicine. The environment is collaborative and teaching-focused, with opportunities to work alongside specialists, professional students, and interns.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
