Introduction
Our client is a full-service specialty and emergency hospital in Gaithersburg, MD, seeking a board-certified Veterinary Anesthesiologist to join their growing and collaborative team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility alongside other specialists while delivering the highest standard of patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with scheduling designed to provide balance while supporting a 24/7 specialty and emergency hospital. The facility operates every day of the year, including holidays, ensuring patients always receive timely and expert care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Anesthesiologist will provide advanced anesthesia and pain management services for a wide range of cases, working alongside two other anesthesiologists and highly trained support staff. Responsibilities include delivering expert anesthetic care, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of specialists, and ensuring the highest quality of patient safety and comfort. The role is suited to an experienced and board-certified candidate passionate about both clinical excellence and collaborative medicine.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital spans over 30,000 square feet and provides a wide range of specialty services including internal medicine, oncology, surgery, ophthalmology, neurology, cardiology, radiology, anesthesiology, and rehabilitation. The hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic tools including high-definition MRI, CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, and an in-house laboratory and pharmacy. The culture is highly collaborative, with specialists and emergency veterinarians working together daily to provide gold-standard care.

Team
The successful candidate will join a team of experienced DVMs and specialists, supported by a dedicated group of veterinary technicians and support staff. The environment is collaborative, professional, and focused on continuous learning, mentorship, and patient-centered care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
