Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a premier multi-disciplinary hospital providing high-level referral and emergency services for cats and dogs. They are seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team, delivering “sooner rather than later” care within a collaborative referral environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24/7, with specialty services running Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm. Urgent care hours are open to discussion, and the position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexibility to suit the right candidate.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will be responsible for the full scope of walk-in, non-emergent cases, supporting the ER department by taking on the less life-threatening cases. The role is suited to a strong GP, or Urgent Care doctor, who is confident working within an ER/specialty setting and contributing to a high standard of clinical excellence.

Practice Details
The hospital is based within a 19,000-square-foot facility equipped with a state-of-the-art imaging suite, including a 128-slice Siemens Cannon CT and a 1.5T Phillips MRI on-site. Interventional radiology capabilities include a Genoray ZEN7000 C-arm with an electric rotating table and fluoroscopic suite. Minimally invasive tools include an Arthex surgical tower with laparoscopic, arthroscopic, and cystoscopic capabilities, as well as a Storz endoscopy tower with full respiratory, urinary, and gastrointestinal capabilities. The hospital provides high-level referral and emergency services, with specialties including Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Critical Care, Oncology, and Imaging.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
