Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Urgent Care Veterinarian. The hospital is an AAHA Accredited small animal practice dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate veterinary care to the local community. With a strong 4.7-star rating, the hospital is trusted for its commitment to continuous improvement and superior patient outcomes. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open seven days a week.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will focus on managing cases requiring immediate medical attention within the scope of small animal primary and urgent care. Clinical responsibilities include handling drop-off appointments, providing primary care, performing diagnostics, managing dental and surgical cases, and utilizing therapeutic modalities such as laser therapy and acupuncture where appropriate. The caseload includes urgent and complex cases supported by internal specialty consultations and educational resources.
Practice Details
Equipment includes dental radiography, digital radiography, laser therapy tools, an in-house laboratory, and ultrasound. Facilities support primary care, dental care, surgery, acupuncture and rehabilitation, and treatment of exotic pets. The hospital is AAHA Accredited and benefits from a larger supportive network that provides access to mentorship, specialty consultation, and ongoing educational opportunities. Services offered include drop-off appointments, primary care, dental care, digital radiography, laser therapy, acupuncture and rehabilitation, exotic pet care, surgery, and in-house laboratory diagnostics.
Team
The hospital has 6 DVMs and 20 support staff working together in a collaborative and mentorship-focused environment designed to support ongoing learning and professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
