Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of Urgent Care Veterinarian responsibilities, providing timely medical and surgical care for patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and other conditions requiring same-day attention. You’ll perform comprehensive examinations and triage, utilize diagnostic testing to investigate presenting conditions, formulate and implement treatment plans, stabilize and manage urgent patients, and perform surgical procedures where appropriate. The hospital manages a broad range of urgent surgical cases, including foreign bodies, GDVs, cystotomies, splenectomies, pyometras, C-sections, enucleations, amputations, and fracture-related cases, alongside scheduled surgical procedures. You’ll also communicate diagnostic findings and treatment recommendations clearly with clients, helping them make informed decisions regarding their pets’ care. Working alongside an experienced paraprofessional team, you’ll contribute to a collaborative hospital culture while managing a varied caseload where urgent care, emergency medicine, surgery, and preventative care intersect.

Practice Details
The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care spanning walk-in urgent care, emergency medicine during business hours, wellness and preventative care, testing and diagnostics, routine and advanced surgery, and additional medical services. Emergency patients can receive evaluation, stabilization, hospitalization, diagnostic investigation, urgent medical treatment, and surgery, while patients requiring advanced or continuous 24-hour care can be coordinated for transfer to an appropriate emergency hospital. The practice also offers advanced care and has access to consultation with board-certified specialists within its wider clinical network when cases would benefit from additional expertise. The hospital supports its caseload with modern diagnostic and medical technology, including blood analysis and X-ray capabilities, alongside state-of-the-art surgical equipment and modern anesthetic monitoring. Its wider services include acupuncture, behavioral therapy, cardiology, endocrinology, exotic pet care, advanced surgical procedures, and preventative medicine. The hospital operates as a walk-in urgent care facility, with critical patients triaged according to clinical need. It is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Sundays.

Team
You’ll be joining a team of 2 veterinarians, including a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, supported by an experienced veterinary team committed to compassionate and accessible patient care. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
