Introduction
Our client is a hospital that is hiring a part-time Urgent Care Veterinarian. This modern urgent care facility bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care, providing timely treatment for cats and dogs that require prompt medical attention without the need for full emergency hospitalization. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian seeking a focused urgent care role within a purpose-built and supportive clinical environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position offers the opportunity to undertake the full scope of Urgent Care responsibilities, managing a wide variety of same-day medical cases that require prompt assessment, diagnostics, and treatment. The role consists of solo doctor shifts and is best suited to an experienced veterinarian who is confident working independently while maintaining a high standard of patient care and client communication. Flexible scheduling is available, with Swing/Second Shift hours designed to support both patient needs and work-life balance.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and 12:00pm to 8:00pm on all holidays, providing a full scope of Urgent Care services. Housed within a brand-new, modern facility, the hospital features dog and cat-specific exam rooms, dedicated spaces for small and large dogs, and a private comfort room designed to support both patients and clients. Diagnostic capabilities include, but are not limited to, digital radiography, a full suite of IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment, and limited ultrasound. The practice follows a Fear Free approach and is recognized as a Feline Friendly Practice, reflecting its commitment to reducing stress and enhancing the patient experience.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
