Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital in Monument, Colorado hiring for an Urgent Care Veterinarian to support the growth of their expanding urgent care service. This is a unique opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys a fast-paced caseload without the demands of overnight shifts, all within a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility known for its collaborative culture and high-quality medicine.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role focuses on non-life-threatening urgent care cases, offering a dynamic and efficient workflow. The successful candidate will be responsible for examining patients, diagnosing conditions, treating wounds, performing surgery, prescribing medication, and advising pet owners on care and treatment plans. The position suits a veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can make confident clinical decisions while working closely with a supportive team. The schedule consists of 35 to 40 hours per week, with short, efficient shifts starting at six hours, including a Saturday shift requirement.
Practice Details
The hospital is a newly built, modern facility equipped to deliver high-quality veterinary care. It features advanced diagnostic and treatment tools including in-house CBC and chemistry analyzers, full-body and dental digital radiography, ultrasound, radiosurgery, and therapeutic laser therapy. The practice offers full-service small animal care and has recently expanded to include urgent care services, creating an exciting period of growth and development.
Team
The clinic currently has a team of four veterinarians working within a collaborative and supportive environment that prioritizes high standards of care and teamwork.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
