Working Hours / Rota
Urgent Care services run Monday to Friday from 8am to 10pm, with the hospital closed at weekends. The rota is structured to support consistent coverage across extended hours while maintaining sustainable working patterns. This weekday-only schedule offers the opportunity to work in urgent care without overnight shifts or weekend commitments.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver high-quality urgent and advanced medical care, managing cases that require prompt assessment, diagnostics, and treatment. You will work closely with colleagues to stabilise patients, communicate clearly with clients, and ensure continuity of care. The position allows you to practise medicine with autonomy while benefiting from immediate collaboration and mentorship on complex cases. Strong communication, sound clinical judgement, and a calm, compassionate approach are central to success in this role.

Practice Details
The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary services for small animals and exotics, supporting care from routine wellness through to advanced diagnostics, complex surgery, and urgent care cases. The dedicated Urgent Care service operates with extended hours to meet community demand, ensuring a consistent flow of engaging, time-sensitive cases. Clinical protocols, modern equipment, and a strong emphasis on medical excellence support veterinarians in delivering thorough, high-standard care across a broad case mix.

Team
You will join a collaborative team of four veterinarians, supported by experienced technicians and support staff. The team culture is professional, supportive, and consultative, with a strong emphasis on shared learning and mutual respect. This environment allows urgent care clinicians to work confidently, knowing that support and collaboration are always readily available.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
